I'm giving up privacy but I'm not agreeing to my likeness being used for profit. If someone uses my likeness for profit - say an artistic photograph - without my consent I can sue for damages. Mass facial recognition is similar because they sell the data and link it to other data, thus making other data more valuable. Without my face this value wouldn't be added, therefore they need to compensate me for it.
